What is a Referral?

Students who have already completed the classroom and pool training sections as well as the first two (2) open-water training dives towards an Entry-Level Open Water Scuba Diver certification course with a recognised training agency can travel with Cairns Dive Centre to finish their final two (2) open-water training dives in the ocean to complete their certification.  Do not choose this option if you are already a certified diver or a snorkeler wishing to try diving for the first time (Introductory dive).

Departing daily from the Marlin Marina, M.V. Reef-Kist travels via Fitzroy island on the way to the true Outer Great Barrier Reef. Each day we visit a reef  from a choice of Milln, Briggs, Moore and Thetford Reefs - About two (2) hours, approximately 40 nautical miles (70 kilometers) from the coast of Cairns.

Our experienced Reef Team - selected for their local knowledge and love of the Cairns region and the ocean - will help you discover the best snorkel and dive sites available from Cairns.

We normally visit two (2) sites on the reef each day and you can see all the marine life our sites have to offer. Nemo, sting rays, hundreds of fish, reef sharks and turtles to name a few.

Includes lunch, morning and afternoon tea and all required dive gear (dive computer included).

Itinerary

* Schedules, snorkel and dive site movements and number of snorkel and dives sessions planned are subject to weather and other conditions and are executed by the Master of the Vessel for the benefit and safety of all passengers and crew on the day.

7.00 am
 Meet and greet at "E" Finger
7.30 am
transfer to the outer reef via Fitzroy Island
9.45am to 10.00 am  Arrival at the reef
10.00  1st Training dive

12 Noon   Lunch
12.30 pm Transfer to next snorkel and dive site

12.45 pm 2nd training Dive

2.45 pm  Depart for Cairns on M.V. Reefkist via Fitzroy Island
