Our Four (4) Day Budget Learn to Dive Course is a cost effective way for you to learn to dive and experience the wonders of our Great Barrier Reef. Starting on demand, this course includes two (2) days of pool and theory work followed by two (2) single days spent on the Great Barrier Reef with our day trip vessel   M.V. Reef-Kist.

Students arrange their own accommodation and meals.Two (2) lunches are provided on the day vessel.

  • Bring a towel (two is better)
  • The Australian Standard Dive Medical
  • can be completed during the course.
  • Daily pick-ups are available from your accommodation for the first two (2) days & third morning only. Please enquire for details.

Itinerary

Day 1

8.30 am Free pick-up from city accommodation
9.15 am Theory lectures
12.00 am  Lunch break and medical examination
1.00 pm Swim test & Pool training
4.30 pm Return to your accommodation

Day 2

8.00 am Pick-up from city accommodation
8.15 am Pool training
11.30 am  Lunch break
12.30 pm  Theory lectures
4.30 pm Return to your accommodation

Day 3

6.45 am 
 
 Pick-up from city accommodation, boat briefing and theory exam.
 
7.30 am
 
 Depart Cairns on our luxury vessel, M.V. REEF-KIST for a transfer to the 
OUTER GREAT BARRIER REEF via Fitzroy Island, where you will do your first 
two (2) training dives towards your certification. 
Lunch included - arriving Cairns approximately 4.45 pm. 
Make your own way home

Day 4

7.00 am
 
 Meet at the marina for a 7.30am departure on our luxury vessel, M.V. REEF-KIST 
for a fast transfer to the OUTER GREAT BARRIER REEF via Fitzroy Island,
 where you will do your final two (2) training dives - Four (4) dives in total 
on this course. Lunch included - arriving Cairns approximately 4.45 pm. 
Make your own way home.
